IV. おわりに

筆者らを含め、複数のグループにおいて、STC1に関する研究が精力的に行われていますが、解決すべき問題が多く残されているというのが現状です。その理由として、STC1の受容体が同定されていないこと、STC1は分泌タンパクであるため細胞表面マーカーにはなりにくい、ヒトの遺伝病との関連が報告されていないこと等が挙げられます。その一方で筆者らは、STC1の謎を日々追求しながら、その研究成果がいつの日か様々な疾患の治療法の開発に繋がることを夢見ています。拙稿をご覧になりSTC1に興味を持たれた方、私たちと一緒にSTC1の謎に挑んでみませんか？
